Mark Belfiore Obituary

Mark Allen Belfiore, 63, of Huntersville, N.C., died Monday, January 6, 2025, in The Preston House. He was born July 15, 1961, in Canonsburg, to Philip and Bonnie Belfiore. Mark was a 1979 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School in Canonsburg. He went on to graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1983 with a degree in psychology. In 1986, he completed pharmacy school at the University of Cincinnati, earning his RPh in Pharmacy. Mark led an active life, from wrestling in high school to weightlifting and running as he grew older. He had a passion for his sheltie dogs, North Carolina pottery, and collecting rocks. However, his greatest loves were reserved for his wife, children and grandchildren, whom he will cherish forever. In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his wife, Kathy Belfiore; his son, Bradley Belfiore and fiancee Mariel Wade of Charlotte; his daughter, Brittany Burke and husband Adam of Concord, N.C.; grandchildren, Joshua and William; his stepgrandchildren, Isabella and Clara; and siblings, Phillip, Matthew and David. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to VIA Health Partners (P.O. Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247; donatehospice.org). Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., the time of a funeral service, Friday, January 10, in St. Patrick's Cathedral in Charlotte, with burial to follow at Northlake Memorial Gardens. There will be a celebration of life following burial, at 4:30 p.m., in the Courtyards of Huntersville Clubhouse, 8314 Parknoll Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078. James Funeral Home of Huntersville is serving the family.
