Mary Ann Yamka Roberts

Mary Ann Yamka Roberts, 81, of the Canonsburg / Muse area, passed away peacefully Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Genesis Health Care, Bridgeville. She was born October 3, 1942, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Steve and Anna Krusienski Yamka. Mary Ann lived her life in the Canonsburg / Muse area and was a graduate of Canon- McMillan Senior High School and Penn Commercial Business School in Washington. She had been employed for many years at Canonsburg Hospital, in the laundry, operating room and engineering departments. Mary Ann wrote a column in the former Daily Notes Newspaper called "Muse News" and sewed blankets for Project Linus. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening as well as working with wood, ceramics and stained glass. Left behind to cherish her memory are her three beloved daughters, Deborah (Robert) Roberts Moore of Canonsburg, Jodi (Carl) Andree of Washington, and Tammee Ritter of Arizona; a grandson, Hunter Addison Andree; her granddog, Chole June; and nieces and nephews. Mrs. Roberts was the last of her immediate family. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are a grandson, Kristopher Michael Ritter; and her sister, Irene "Tootsie" Kott, who passed away July 27, 1989. Friends and family are welcome from 2 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 19, with pastor Steve Parkhill officiating.
