Mary Toczek Obituary
Mary Martha Polanovsky Toczek, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday, October 16, 2022, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born May 8, 1939, in Mt. Pleasant, daughter of the late John J. and Matidla Jablunovsky Polanovsky.
Mary is survived by her loving family: her daughter, Theresa M. Toczek of Mt. Pleasant and her son, John J. Toczek (Anita) of Somerset, N.J.; her beloved grandchildren, Brian and Asha Toczek.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Toczek in 2017.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and from 12 to 1 p.m., the time of her blessing service, on Thursday, at Galone-Caruso Funeral Home, 204 Eagle Street, Mt. Pleasant.
Mary's funeral mass will follow at 1:30 p.m. in Visitation Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Pleasant. Interment will follow in Visitation Parish Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday with Visitation Christian Mothers and the Rosary Altar Society.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org\Donate in memory of Mary M. Toczek.

Mary was a special person, being a Superintendents Secretary wasn't easy. She was very thoughtful, listened and gracious. I often go by the house and wonder how she was doing. Now she can do more for the Lord and be at peace. Patty Fedinetz

My deepest condolences. Mary was a fellow classmate at EHHS and one of the nicest young ladies. I am fortunate to have seen and spend some time with her at our 65th class reunion.
