Matthew "Matty" James Waters, 63, of Washington, died peacefully Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Transitions Health Care, with his family by his side. Matty was born May 10, 1959, to the late Robert O. Waters and Elaine Waters Duckworth.
A 1977 graduate of Trinity High School, he worked for Drakenfield/Ferro Corporation, was the original owner of A & M Wine Supplies, and also worked for Blue Racer Midstream.
He was a member of The Arms Club, The American Legion Post #175 and the Keystone Club.
Matty was a member of Saint James Parish and a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Matty was a HUGE Steelers fan and enjoyed making and drinking homemade wine. He loved spending time with family and friends. His motto was, "I would rather be rich in friends than rich in money." He kept true to that.
On April 25, 1987, he married Lisa Bruno, who survives along with his children, Zachary Michael Waters and Whitney Lyn Waters; four brothers, Keith (Alba) Duckworth of Freedom, Kenny (Sue) Duckworth of Canonsburg, Dominic (Joanne) Waters and Robert (Rebecca) Waters, all of Washington; three sisters, Susan Ealy and Elaine Waters of Washington, and Joann (Robert) Howanec of Canonsburg; his mother-in-law, Violet Bruno of Waynesburg; brother-in-law, Jon (Dana) Bruno of Washington; along with several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece.
Deceased is a sister, Debra Bash Ford; brother-in-law, Cecil Ealy; nephew, Edward Ealy; stepfather, Joseph Duckworth; and father-in-law, Arthur Bruno Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, and from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Thursday, June 2, in Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724)260-5546.

Lisa, Zach and Whit, We are so sorry for your loss. Matty was one of a kind. We remember the first time meeting him at A&M. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. "Mangia", today it has new meaning to us! Love you all!!
