Michael Delvecchio Obituary

Michael J. Delvecchio, 51, of Washington, formerly Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, August 9, 2024, in Premiere Washington Health Center. He was born March 6, 1973, in Washington, a son of the late James Miller and Donna McKinney. Mr. Delvecchio was a graduate of Trinity High School. He was employed at McDonald's in Washington, where he became manager; worked in the dietary department at McMurray Hills Manor; bartended at the Polish Alliance and several other clubs in Canonsburg; All Clad Metals in Canonsburg; and was manager at Taco Bell in Washington for eight years until his health forced his retirement. He loved his family and spending time with his nieces and nephews. They will all miss him and his sense of humor. He enjoyed going to work. Surviving are four nephews, Robert Klaus (Erica) of Houston, Dustin Klaus (Dakota) of Washington, Brandon Klaus (Krystal) of Claysville, and Ryan Dunn Klaus of Washington; 11 great-nieces and great- nephews, Brantley, Aaleyah, Landon, Lydia, Autumn, Ryder, Lily, Carson, Everleigh, Arabella and Blakely Klaus; a brother-in-law, Guy Klaus of Washington; brother, Brian Dunn (Lori) of Carmichaels; his stepfather, Kenny Statler (Patty) of Washington; special aunt, Debbie Harshey of Atlasburg; and special friend, John Udodow of Blairsville. Deceased are a brother, Donald Delvecchio; a sister, Candy Lynn Klaus; and his maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Violet Kopko McKinney. Arrangements are being handled by the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. A memorial service to celebrate Michael's life will be scheduled at a time to be announced. Condolences may be left for the family by viewing the obituary at www.mcilvaine-speakman.com

Michael was a very good True Friend of mine. Will miss our phone conversations. He was there through some of my most difficult times. He faced his illness with such strength and fought like a warrior. Pray you're now at Peace My Friend...Until we meet again.

I've known Michael for 43 yrs and loved him like a brother. His sister Candy was one of my best friends. He was a funny guy, with quick come backs. You'll be missed Michael, give your sister and mom a big hug for me. Love you! R.I.P
