Michael Smith Obituary
He was born August 11, 1965, in Washington, a son of Patricia L. Smith and the late George D. Smith.
Mr. Smith was a 1983 graduate of Trinity High School and attended West Liberty University for two years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served with the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg, N.C., and was very proud of his time served.
Mr. Smith worked as a telemarketer and surveyor.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are a brother, Mark A. (Patti) Smith of Prosperity; nephews Gary, Greg and Chad Smith; and several cousins.
Deceased are his paternal grandparents, George and Alberta Smith.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 4, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by American Legion Hunt-Kennedy Post 639.
