Michele J. Griger, 40, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully at 6:53 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2022, in her home.
She was born May 4, 1982, in Monessen, a daughter of Jerome and Nancy Gnora Griger.
Michelle was a graduate of Monessen High School and received her Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and Literature from California University of Pennsylvania, and her Master of Education in School Counseling from California University.
Michelle's ultimate role was a loving mother, wife and friend to all people she met.
Her occupation was as a guidance counselor at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit in Coraopolis.
She was a member of Unitarian Universalist Church of South Hills, where she was a member of the choir.
Michelle was a former Girl Scout troop leader of Troop 18006 of Canonsburg.
She was an avid reader of science fiction and Harry Potter and a music lover, especially the Dave Matthews Band, Michael McDonald and Willie Nelson.
On June 10, 2014, she married her devoted and kind husband, Benjamin Staudt, who survives.
In addition to her husband and parents, left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved daughters, Zoe and Sadie Staudt, at home; her dear brother, Christopher Griger of Wexford; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Michelle also leaves behind her loyal feline companions, Des Moines, Phoebe, Twilight and Midnight.
She was proceeded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
There will be no services at this time, but a celebration of Michele's life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, her family requests that you be kind to everyone and sign up to be an organ doner.
