Mildred Baker

Mildred "Midge" Baker departed this world Monday, August 18, 2025, in Allegheny General Hospital. She graced this earth August 4, 1939, in Akron, Ohio. Midge was a graduate of Hickory High School Class of 1957 in Hickory. She later pursued a degree in English from California University of Pennsylvania. Midge's professional journey was marked by her role with the Drug Enforcement Administration, where she lived and worked in Cairo, Egypt for six years. Midge is survived by her three children: daughters, Janice Baker and Marcia Johnston; and son, Keith Baker; five grandchildren, Kevin Walker, Justin DeBarr, Jason Walker, Kaylyn Baker, and Reese Baker; and six great- grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Midge will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 11, in the South Franklin Township Building.
