Mildred F. Fabin

Mildred F. Fabin, 89, of Monongahela, formerly of New Eagle, died Wednesday, September 9, 2015, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
She was born April 24, 1926, in Crookham, a daughter of Paul and Catherine Petrosky Plinta.
She was a 1944 graduate of Monongahela High School and a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish in Monongahela.
After her husband, John, passed away, she volunteered at Center in the Woods, Brownsville, working in the kitchen and helping with dances, bake sales or wherever her assistance was needed.
Since December 2012, she resided in Residence at Hilltop, a place she truly enjoyed being. She especially liked to play cards, bingo and socialize with friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Diane Kuppelweiser and husband Rich of Carroll Township; son John Fabin and wife Kathy of Driftwood; three grandchildren, Katie L. Grosvenor and husband Alexander, Brian M. Kuppelweiser and girlfriend Cassie Stewart and Jason J. Fabin; brother Paul Plinta of New Eagle; sister Marcella Novak of Canonsburg; two sisters-in-law, Irene Popovich of Scenery Hill and Shirley Fabin of New Eagle; brother-in-law Steve Fabin and wife Ann of Eighty Four; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, John Fabin, who died August 14, 2001; sister Pauline Williams; two brothers, James Plinta, who died in infancy, and Charles Plinta.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. Funeral prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, September 14, in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Damien of Molokai Parish with the Rev. William Terza, pastor as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
