Mildred S. Pratt, 99, of Waynesburg, died at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Respicenter in Waynesburg, PA.
She was born December 15, 2023 in Wana, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thomas B. Simpson and Minerva W. Simpson.
She was a member of the Oakview United Methodist Church in Waynesburg. Mildred enjoyed farming most of her life. She also enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading and square dancing. She loved traveling around the United States and was a homemaker.
Her Husband: Richard Pratt whom she married on October 5, 1946 died in 1998. Surviving are a daughter, Judy Hamilton; grandchildren, Randy (Tanya) Hamilton, Susan Hamilton, Kim (Tom) Barton, Wendy (Dave) Lowry; great-grandchildren, Tyler Lowry, Austin Lowry, Tanner Barton, Gavin Barton, Taylor Hamilton, Jillian Hamilton and Jake Hamilton; and several great-great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son Larry Pratt; a sister, Elva Dee Wilson; and brothers, Luther, Wilbur, Tom and Alex Simpson.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 197 N. Maiden St. Waynesburg, PA 15370 Shane M. Ayers, Director, where service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 with the Rev. Dr. Donald Wilson officiating. Burial will be held at Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Twp., PA 15370.
