Patricia Genellie Obituary

Patricia Ann Genellie, 71, of Avella, passed away Sunday, June 9, 2024, in her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was born September 12, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Gerard Francis and Dolores Marie King Genellie. Pat was a 1970 graduate of Bishop Canevin High School and had lived in Avella for 33 years. She worked as a horse caretaker for several locations in the area and in 2006 she started her dog breeding business, Yankee Doodles and Poodles in Avella. Pat was still running the business up until the time of her passing. Pat enjoyed everything to do with dogs; dogs were her life. She also loved to spend time with her family, especially on "Domino Night". Surviving are two sisters, Dee (Charlie) Christ, and Gerri Genellie, both of Avella; a brother, Gerry (Libby) Genellie of Cincinnati, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews. At Pat's request, there will be no visitation or service. All arrangements are being handled by Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home, Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Washington City Mission or Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Condolences may be expressed at www.stefkovihfuneralhome.com
