Patricia L. Kotar

Patricia L. Kotar, 80, of Muse, passed away peacefully Monday, June 17, 2024, in her home, with her family by her side. She was born March 26, 1944, in Cuddy, a daughter of the late James and Charlotte Zimmerman Ross. Patty graduated from South Fayette High School and was Presbyterian by faith. She lived most of her life in Muse and had been a home healthcare provider both with nursing homes and privately. She enjoyed country line dancing with many groups such as Gunsmoke and Glitter and Boots and Garters. Patty's world was her grandchildren and great- grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. On July 3, 1965, she married Richard E. Kotar, whom she leaves behind after 58 years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her children: son, Richard E. Kotar Jr. and wife Lisa of Muse; daughter, Lori A. Veres of Hernando, Fla.; six grandchildren, David (Lindsay) Veres, Chelsea Smouse, Heather (Marcus) Varn, Jenna (Jeremy) Rosenberry, Sara (Joshua) Brady, and Rae Kotar; nine beloved great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Yake of Georgia; and brother, Harold (Laurie) Ross of Des Moine, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is her sister, Donna Gardener. Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 21, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services, Inc., Joseph P.
