Patrick F. Walton Sr. passed away at Washington Hospital Tuesday, June 15, 2021. Pat was born February 20, 1938, in Triadelphia, W.Va., a son of the late Margaret Fry and Jack Rooks Walton.
Pat served in the Navy for four years, on the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Aircraft Carrier. After serving in the Navy, Patrick worked at Ford Motor Company at the Rouge Plant in Dearborn, Mich., Tri-State Engineering, and Fife Moving & Storage.
He loved sports, more recently Nascar racing was his favorite, and he was a fan of drivers Mark Martin and Chase Elliot. Pat enjoyed attending several dirt tracks, including The Hillbilly 100, with his brothers, sons, nephews, and many times with Buddy and little Ron. He also loved animals, especially his three dogs, Smokey, Jack and Slick.
Patrick is survived by his wife of 54 years, Katy Walton; three sons, Pat Jr., Clint and Chad; brothers Butch, Jerry and Jackie; sisters Cindy, Cathy, Rosemary and Donna; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and his best friends, Theda and Lonnie Church.
He was preceded in death by sisters Patty and Anelle; brother Ron; sister-in-law Pat Kiskadden; and brother-in-law Earl Klages.
Patrick will be buried at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies with full military rights.
