Paul Hammers Obituary
He was born May 13, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of the late Edgar and Melissa Davis Hammers.
He was a 1966 graduate of Monongahela High School.
A veteran, Mr. Hammers served with the U.S. Army as a private during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a scheduler for Corning Glass Works, now World Kitchen, in Charleroi.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra Lynn Lilly Hammers; son Wells Hammers (Debbie) of Centerville; daughter Bobbie Jo Zelenick (Jeff) of Centerville; grandchildren Tyler and Jennifer Zelenick; siblings Mary Lou Palmer (Dick) of Girard, Ohio, Isabelle Lynn (Eugene) of Belle Vernon, Homer Hammers (Lois) of Beckley, W.Va., and Wells Hammers (Cheryl) of Medina, Ohio; sister-in-law Rosemary Hammers of Florida; step-grandson Jason Paulick (Nikki); step-grandchildren Evan and Victoria Paulick; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are brothers Dave Hammers and Harry Hammers and a sister, Leah Rogenski.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 10, with Pastor Max Miller, officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
