Philip M. Gilpin, 83, of Washington, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, in Washington Hospital.
He was born May 11, 1939, in Washington County, the son of the late Hugh and Kathryn Morgan Gilpin.
Phil was a construction worker his whole career, finally retiring from Golden Triangle. He was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He enjoyed working on cars, woodworking, and listening to country music. He was a big sports fan, especially Pittsburgh sports.
On September 28, 1961, Philip married Irene Stankowski Gilpin, who survives.
Also surviving are his children, Philip Gilpin, of Canonsburg, Raymond Gilpin, of Burgettstown, Susan Doak, of Washington, Dawn Keigley, of Evansville, Ind.
Phil was preceded in death by his daughter, Robbin Craig; and brothers, Joe, Ronnie, and Shuggy Gilpin.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes. Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 6th.
Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Gardens.
