Founder of Founder of Dean's Water Service Richard D. Dean, 82, of Washington, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Donnell House in Washington, after a period of illness. He was born February 28, 1941, to the late Nelson and Marie Dean of Freedom. Mr. Dean was the longtime owner and founder of Dean's Water Service in Washington. He enjoyed family, traveling, dining out and going to the movies. He also enjoyed attending truck shows and conventions for the business, with his late wife, Carol. As a business owner in Washington, Mr. Dean took pride in providing drinking water to the community and surrounding areas. Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his late wife, Carol A. Dean, whom he married August 16, 1991. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth (Vicki Furmanski) Dean, Richard A. (Susan) Dean; and a daughter, Laurie Dean; four brothers: Robert Dean, John (Donna) Dean, Alan (Betty) Dean and Carl (Flo) Dean; five grandchildren: Keith (Amber) Dean, Asha McMillan, Candice (AJ) Graham, Rachel (Andrew) Imhoff and Shaunezhia Furmanski; six great-grandchildren: Ava, Jacob, Eva, Daniel, Miles and Kyson. Deceased, in addition to his parents and late wife, are a sister-in-law, Arlene Dean; and grandson-in-law, Elias McMillan. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Ave., Washington PA 15301, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6th. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Coraopolis.
