Richard Somsky Obituary
He was born February 6, 1954, in Canonsburg, a son of the late John and Lorraine Couderc Somsky.
Mr. Somsky graduated from Fort Cherry High School and then from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania.
He worked as an educational software manager for most of his professional career in Florida, California and Arizona, before his retirement in 2016.
Mr. Somsky returned home to McDonald, where he was an active member of Lions Club.
Surviving is a brother, John Somsky (Evonne) of Canonsburg.
At the request of the family, all services will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Salandra Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120.
Memorial contributions are suggested to McDonald Trail Station Meeting House, South McDonald Street, McDonald, PA 15057.

I worked with Rick at Campus Management. We stayed friends for years after while he was in Florida and when he moved away. I talked to him on the phone several times a month. He was a good guy and friend. I just found out about this. I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Rick and I were good friends in school, my Catholic brother at the time. We played tennis together, then stopped at Joe Harris to drink soda because the water tasted bad. Sorry John I thought he was in FL. RIP Rick
