Ronald William Zombeck, of Muse, also known as Pelo, Chico, or Belgium, who was 69 years old, died Friday, October 12, 2018 in West Penn Hospital from complications associated with acute Leukemia.
He was born July 11, 1949 in McDonald, son of the late Joseph and Ethel Adamson Zombeck and raised by foster parents Bob and Jane Gibb.
He graduated from Fort Cherry High School in 1969. Ron raised and trained exceptional hunting beagles, He was an avid hunter, and after many years finally got his first bear in 2014. He enjoyed fishing and camping, amateur woodworking, and was a motorhead from a young age.
He worked for operating engineers union 66 and the last 12 years as a heavy equipment operator for Peter J. Caruso & Sons Paving, prior to that he was a coal miner at Aloe Coal Company in Midway.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Toni Bomblosky Zombeck of Muse, two sons, Ron (Lina Bologna) Zombeck of Imperial, and, Alan "Butch" (Alyssa) Zombeck of Muse, three grandchildren, Lilly Michelle Zombeck, Nathan Josef Bologna-Zombeck, and Jack William Zombeck, two sisters, Frances (Robert) Stone of Primrose, and Barbara (Bill) Dunn of Moon Twp., eight brothers, Larry , Albert, Rick, Randy, Denny, Timmy, Michael "Matt" (Lorraine), and Chucky (Betty) Zombeck all of McDonald.
He was preceded in death by parents, foster parents, two brothers, Joseph and Stanley Zombeck, and a sister, Janet DeJohn.
Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt.50), Cecil, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Mike Clark, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Robinson's Run Cemetery, McDonald.
