Robert W. Huey

Robert W. Huey, 90, of Centerville Borough, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, in Mountainview Memory Care, Greensburg. He was born October 23, 1934, in Smithfield, a son of the late Arthur and Kathryn Bigrigg Huey. Mr. Huey was retired military proudly serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1975. For his service he was awarded the AF Longevity Service Award Ribbon w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, AFM 900-3; AF Good Conduct Medal w/3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, AFM 900-3; and Air Medal SOGO946. He was later employed for 10 years as a custodian at the Beth Center Elementary school. Robert was a lifetime member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 927 Washington and an active member of the American Legion Post #705 Centerville. His leisure time was spent hunting, fishing, golfing and reading Western novels. Surviving are two brothers, Jese L. Huey (Ethel) of McKeesport, and Ernest Huey of Bethel Park; a sister, Frances Macra of West Mifflin; and several nieces and nephews. Decease are five brothers, Joe, Henry, Arthur, Jim and Kenneth Huey; three sisters, Ruth Cumberland, Margaret Stillwagon, and Linda Huey, who died in infancy; and brother-in-law, Bill Macra. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. time of service Saturday, September 20, in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, Ltd., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, with Pastor Sheldon Barnett officiating.
