Roger E. Jaggie, 73, of Dilliner, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Friday, September 29, 2023, in his home.
He was born November 4, 1949, in Coalton, W.Va., a son of the late Benjamin Jaggie and Tiney Bennett Jaggie.
Roger was a member of the U.S. Army, having served during Vietnam in the 101st Airborne Division.
He was a member of the Waynesburg Moose Lodge, the Mt. Morris Sportsmen's Club, the Bobtown Polish Club, the Bobtown Rod and Gun Club and the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 of Mt. Morris.
Roger enjoyed fishing, hunting, listening to Bluegrass music, and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lynn Jaggie, whom he married August 19, 1972.
Also surviving are a daughter, Melissa Jaggie of Greensboro; and a son, Roger G. "Bunk" Jaggie and wife Amy of Mt. Morris; seven grandchildren, Cody Jaggie, Tristan Allen, Mason Allen, James Roach, Danielle Yeager, Myriah Thomas and McKenzie Cox; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Violet (Roy) Shipman, Mary Lou Petrucci, and Wilma (Robert) Holbert; three brothers, Rodney (Judy) Jaggie, Alfred (Sharon) Jaggie and Lionel (Shannon) Jaggie; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Friend; and two brothers, Bernard and Frank Jaggie.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc., 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349, Shane M. Ayers, director, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 5, with Pastor Debbie Triplett officiating. Burial will be in Claughton Chapel Cemetery, Whiteley Township, Greene County, PA 15370, where Graveside Military Rites to be accorded by the James T. Maxon American Legion Post #992 of Mt. Morris and active members of the U.S. Army.

I am so sorry for another loss to the Jaggie family.
Rodney and Judy are neighbors, of mine and are wonderful people. To all of Roger's loved ones, I'm sorry for your loss. Rest assure he is in the arms of his Lord.
