Ronald C. Lukan

Ronald C. Lukan, 86, of Midway, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025. He was born April 8, 1939, to Peter and Veronica Yanik Lukan. He was married for nearly 60 years to his beloved wife, Suellyn Nourigat Lukan, who is deceased. He was the loving father of Jodie (Paul) Panizza of Midway, Karen Shephard of McDonald, and Jeffrey (Jodie) Lukan of Houston. Ron was the adored pappy of grandchildren, Brittney (Lane) Murphy, Holly (Terrance) Klinesmith, Anthony Panizza, Allison Lukan, and Jillian Panizza. He leaves behind one great-grandson, Luca Lane Murphy. Ron is also survived by his brothers: twin brother, Raymond (Dolores) Lukan, and Michael Lukan. Ron had an amazing sense of humor, was an avid hunter, loyal Pittsburgh sports fan, and loved spending time with family and friends. He instilled in his children a love of the outdoors, a warm heart for beagles, and an appreciation for peppy polkas and all things Polish. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Lukan (Mary Ellen); and son-in-law, Eric Shephard. A private celebration will be held with family and friends.
