Rose Wozniak Novacich

Rose Wozniak Novacich, 84, of Point Marion, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 23, 2017, in The Madison Center, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born August 13, 1932, in Bobtown, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Rosalie Hyble Wozniak.
Her loving husband of 55 years, John Novacich, passed away December 28, 2012.
Also deceased are brothers Frank, Martin and Joseph Wozniak, and sisters Stella Rheda, Viola Marovic and Margaret Williamson.
A lifelong member of St. Hubert Roman Catholic Church in Point Marion, she was a 1950 graduate of Point Marion High School.
Mrs. Novacich started working at the Pittsburgh Merchantile Store in Bobtown and later at Bon-Ton in Uniontown, and was a dental chair-side assistant for Dr. Conners in Morgantown.
She loved to bake for her family and was always seen in the summer tending to her garden.
Surviving are three children and their spouses, John A. and Margaret Novacich, Roxane and Gregg Garland, all of Point Marion, and Matthew and Tracy Novacich of Landenburg; four grandchildren, Matthew John and Jacki Novacich, Lt. Bryant Garland, USAF, and wife Stephanie and Derek Garland; great-granddaughter Emma Rose Garland; three sisters, Verna Cullen, Dorothy Dmochowsky and Agnes Puckett; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until 9:30 a.m., the time of service, Monday, February 27, in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, followed by a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Hubert Church, Point Marion. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
The family is grateful to Point Manor Personal Care Home and The Madison Center for the caring support extended to Mrs. Novacich and her family during her illness.
