Roy L. Inghram, 89, a lifelong resident of Greene County, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2018, in Waynesburg HealthCare & Rehabilitation.
Born August 6, 1928, in Center Township, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Inez Johnson Inghram.
On February 28, 1970, Roy married Betty J. West, who survives in Waynesburg.
He was a member of Bates Fork Baptist Church, where he was trustee and usher alongside his wife, Pastor Betty Inghram.
Roy was a laborer for Center Township, for approximately 13 years, until his retirement in December 1993. He was self-employed as a custom sheep shearer from the age of 14, until ill health forced him to retire in 2000. Roy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving are three children, Barbara Whitlatch of Pennsylvania, Darlene (Don) Custer of North Carolina and Karen Lasha of Pennsylvania; two stepchildren, Terrace Gene DeMurry and Curtis Lee DeMurry, both of Maryland; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two siblings, Paul T. Inghram and Helen Iams, and a stepson, Timothy Ernest DeMurry.
