Ruth Calvey Obituary

Ruth Ann "Annie" Nickeson Calvey, 77 of Bentleyville, PA passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025 in UPMC Washington Hospital. She was born January 19, 1948 in Monongahela, PA a daughter of the late Alonzo W. and Mary Alice Lusk Nickeson. Annie was a 1967 graduate of Monongahela High School. She was a homemaker and a salon assistant at Janet's Hair Design in Ellsworth, PA. Annie loved football, especially college games. She was an avid Steeler fan and enjoyed road trips. Although she never had her license, she had a great sense of direction. She had a bawdy sense of humor and was never shy about enjoying a beer. Annie was a devoted mother to her sons and a doting Nunie to her beloved great niece Brenna. Surviving are her son, David Lee Calvey; two brothers, John Nickeson of Phoenix, AR, Butch Nickeson (Brenda) of Eighty Four; and a sister, Karen Williams of Ellsworth; several nieces and a nephew and several great-nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her parents is her son Jon Daniel "Danny" Calvey; a sister Mary Lou Victor and a brother, Jim Nickeson. Funeral services are private and under the direction of the Greenlee's Funeral Home, 619 Main St. Bentleyville, PA. An online guestbook is available at www.GreenleeFuneralHome.com.
