Sharon Sedmak Richards

January 12, 1950- September 13, 2025 Sharon Richards, 75, of Cecil, died Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born on January 12, 1950 in Strabane to Joseph and Virginia (Woodruff) Sedmak. Born with a warm and caring spirit, Sharon lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. On May 9, 1970, she married the love of her life, Louis, and together they built a beautiful life and lasting partnership filled with devotion and joy. A devout Catholic, Sharon carried her faith with her each day, finding strength and comfort in her church and community. She was happiest when caring for others, and she expressed her love through her many passions. A creative cook and baker, she delighted her family with countless homemade meals and cherished traditions. She loved holidays, especially Christmas when she and Louis held their infamous Christmas Eve gathering. She also found joy in tending her garden, bringing beauty and peace into her home, and in her creativity through crafts. Above all, Sharon will be remembered for her deep love of family. She treasured time spent with her husband, son, grandson, and all family and friends. Her kindness, patience, and gentle nature touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed, and her love and memory will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind. In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her son, Brian (Amy) Richards, of Bridgeville; grandson, Evan Richards, of Bridgeville; brother, Joseph J. ("Jay") (Susan) Sedmak, Jr. of Bridgeville; sisters, Kathleen Sedmak Sisul, of Canonsburg; and Bobbie Jo Sedmak Campbell, of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents. Friends will be received Wednesday, September, 17, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Sollon Funeral and Cremation Service, Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, PA, 15317, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000. Additional visitation will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery.
