Sibyl A. Kappeler

Sibyl A. Kappeler, of Canonsburg, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the age of 82. She was the devoted wife of almost 59 years to Albert L. Kappeler; beloved mother of Lloyd (Amy) Kappeler, and Laura (Joe) Ralyea; and cherished grandmother of Kyle, Luke, Kyra and Chloe. She is also survived by her sisters-in- law, Helen Kappeler and Connie Kappeler; and was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Keith Kappeler. She was also the loving aunt of Keith (Beth) Kappeler, and Kristin (Brad) Rigby. Born October 6, 1942, Sibyl lived a life full of warmth, love and compassion. She was the heart of her family, always putting others before herself and nurturing those around her with kindness and grace. She embraced her roles of mother and grandmother with an abundance of joy and pride, creating lasting memories and traditions that will forever be cherished. Known for her gentle spirit, sense of humor, strength and generosity, Sibyl touched the lives of all who knew her. Her love, wisdom and gentle presence will be deeply missed and forever remembered. She was a past matron of the Eastern Star Chapter #491 and also a long-time member and volunteer of Christ United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for its kind and compassionate care. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 15, in David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road (Route 88), Library, where there will be an Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. Thursday. A funeral service will be at 12 noon Friday, May 16, in Christ United Methodist Church (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).
