Sue Gido Obituary

Sue Ann Bowland Gido, 90, of Monongahela, returned to her heavenly home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, May 27, 2024, following a brief illness. She peacefully passed in the comfort of her home at Celebration Villa in Pittsburgh. Sue was born to the Reverend Leeland and Lillian Bowland January 4, 1934, in Marfrance, W.Va. She was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings; and her husband, Robert Gido. Sue will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughters, Brenda Harsh, Lynian (Darren) Patz, Bonnie (Rick) Vedder, Suzann Hensley, and Tamie Gido. She was a cherished grandmother to Brandi (Bobby) Cianciullo, Jason (Patricia) Hamilton, Tiffany (Mitchell) Kudlawiec, Coral Vedder, and Evan Vedder. Sue was a proud great-grandmother to Gage Hamilton, Barrett Hamilton, Zion Kudlawiec, Skyler Vedder, and Luca Vedder. Sue's Christian faith was central to her life. She lived a life of service and encouraged others with God's love. Sue was a previous member of Hope Church in Belle Vernon, where she found solace and community. Family and friends are invited to honor Sue's life Thursday, May 30, in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767 with visitation from 3 to 4:30 p.m., at which time services will begin. Private interment will be held at Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to either the Visiting Angels Foundation or the Parkinson's Foundation. Sue will be remembered for her kindness, love for her family, and her unwavering faith. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
