Susan Ann Pagano

1952 - 2025

Susan Ann Pagano, 72, of Washington, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 30, 2025, in Washington Hospital, with her devoted family by her side. She was born November 21, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Robert P. and Mercedes "Sue" Bandi Hirschinger. Sue was a graduate of Bethel Park High School Class of 1970 and attended the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy, before entering the hair dressing profession. Prior to her retirement she had been an office manager in a medical office. Susan was a faithful member of St. Hilary Church St. James Parish, where on June 21, 1997, she was married to her loving husband, John A. Pagano, who survives after 27 years of marriage. Sue enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel and summering at the cottage in Pymatuning, where she instructed many people on feeding the fish at the spillway. An animal lover, she had three dogs over the years, Winnie, Babaloo and Millie. Also left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter, Leah Pagano of Washington; and several aunts, uncles and many cousins. The family would like to thank the caregivers who helped Susan. Friends and family are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 6, in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Serivces, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra LFD, owner / supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, where departing prayers will be recited at 10 a.m. Friday, February 7. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. in St. James Parish St. Hilary Church. Interment will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Peters Township.
