Tamara Chiera Obituary

Tamara Jo Chiera, 70, of Canonsburg, died Monday, May 5, 2025, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born August 20, 1954, a daughter of the late Emma Joanne Chiera. Tammy was a 1972 graduate of Fort Cherry High School. She had worked for Bobby Brooks in Washington and retired from Black Box, Inc., in Lawrence, as a manufacturing coordinator. Tammy loved going to the horse racing at the Meadows, crocheting, and was an avid Rod Stewart and Bob Seger fan. Summer "Raye" Waz was not only her coworker and best friend, but her angel here on earth. They loved traveling to many states to see Rod Stewart concerts together. Summer truly was a gift to Tammy's sisters during this difficult time. She will be sadly missed not only by her family, but many friends, coworkers and her loving companion, Donald "Fluter" Mahramus, who she enjoyed traveling with to Florida and camp in Ohiopyle. Tammy dearly loved her nephews. She was a deeply patriotic person and loved her country. She will sadly miss seeing her nephew enter the Navy in June, but will keep him safe from above. Tammy had a kind heart and giving soul that touched so many lives. She was definitely one of a kind. Surviving are two sisters, Melissa Raye Chiera of Richeyville, and Tia Maria Krah (Brad Wurtzer) of McDonald; two nephews, Cade and Brody Krah; and many friends. Deceased are a nephew, Brandon Chiera; her former boyfriend, Marion "Nay" Serafin; and brother-in-law, Rick Krah. All services are private and have been entrusted to the McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342.
