Terry Hughes Obituary

Terry Allen Hughes, 61, of Mt. Morris, took his final breath of life here on Earth at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., surrounded by his family.
He was born Monday, January 12, 1953, in Morgantown, a son of the late Paul Hughes Sr. and Orline Lucas Hughes.
Upon graduating high school, he briefly worked at the Star City Glass Factory. At age 19, he entered his lifelong career as a coal miner for Consol Energy. He worked as a miner for more than 30 years, until becoming disabled in 2005.
Mr. Hughes loved spending time with his daughters and acting like a "big" kid with them. He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycle and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving are two daughters, who were the loves of his life, Kayliegh A. Hughes of Greensboro and Lacey T. Hughes of Morgantown; his childhood friends and best buddies, Jay Reeder of Clear, Alaska, Bob Gaskill of Brownsville and Kenneth "Spike" Tritchler of Mt. Morris; and other numerous family in Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation or services. Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349, are in charge of arrangements.
