Toni J. Corsie

1946 - 2024

Toni J. Corsie, 78, of Washington, died Wednesday, November 20, 2024 in the Washington Hospital. She was born October 4, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Edward P. and Marie Burns Miller. Toni was a 1964 graduate of Washington High School and went on to graduate from Penn Commercial. She was employed as a secretary by the Washington County District Attorney's Office and the Washington County Clerk of Courts for over 35 years. In her youth, Toni was an avid bowler and skier. She enjoyed going to oldies dances with friends, dogs, especially her grand-fur baby, Lassi, had a passion for history, spending time with family and traveling. Toni visited family in both Alaska and Hawaii, and spent many vacations in Myrtle Beach, S.C. On July 23, 1966, in Washington, Toni married John Corsie, who survives. They shared almost 60 years of a loving marriage. Also surviving are a son, Aaron (Priya) Corsie of Williamsburg, Va.; a daughter, Alyssia Cook and her significant other, Terry Pettit of Washington; a brother, David "Mike" (Erika) Miller of Fairbanks, Alaska; a sister, Cathy (Edward) Petrick of Landenberg; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, in the Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at noon on Monday, November 25.
