William S. Herald

William S. "Knucklehead" Herald, 80, of Venetia, peacefully passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, with his family by his side. He is survived by his children, Jessica Herald (Craig Vilsack), and Karl (Lindsay) Herald; his grandchildren, Sandy Vilsack, and Hendrix and Hudson Herald; and his brother, Mort (Melania) Herald. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Laura Herald. William received the nickname of Knucklehead at a young age and it stuck with him all the way. Knucklehead was in the Steamfitter Local Union 449 as a welder for many years until his retirement. Outside of work, you could still find him around the house, blasting his music, building or "tinkering" with anything that needed fixed. Knucklehead was avid motorcyclist, who made many friends through a common passion of the bike. He was a PROUD American who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Above all else, Knucklehead loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. He will be dearly missed by all. Funeral arrangements by Beinhauers.
