William H. Knobel Jr.

William H. Knobel, Jr. 82, of McMurray, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025. He was born October 3, 1942, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William H. Knobel and Mary Elizabeth Wolber Knobel. Bill moved to Bethel Park at the age of 6. In 1960, he graduated from Bethel Park Senior High School. Bill went on to receive his Bachelor's degree in Business from Geneva College in Beaver Falls in 1964. Bill remained in Bethel Park until his marriage to Ruth M. Foertsch Knobel. After which, Bill and Ruth moved to Mt. Lebanon. In Bill's later years, he resided in McMurray. Bill worked as an accountant/CPA his entire career and retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company. He was a member of the Jesus Fellowship Bible Church in McMurray, and also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons. Bill is survived by a daughter, Beth A. Knobel; and a son, William R. "Bill" Knobel, both of Champion; a sister, Marylee Hartman of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth M. Foertsch Knobel. A gathering for Bill will be held from 1 to 3 p.m., the time of a service, Friday, June 27, in Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724) 941-3211.
