Rev. William L. Roemer

Rev. William L. Roemer, 80, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Niles, Ohio, passed Saturday, January 6, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Jean Eisenbeis-Betschart Roemer; dear father of Douglas (Shellie) Roemer, Robert (Melanie) Roemer, Kelly (Scott) Vokoun, and Jeffrey (Heidi) Betschart; grandfather of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother of John (Patty) Roemer and the late Barbara Scarney and Susan Roemer. Rev. Roemer was a member of the Pittsburgh Presbytery and served in various churches in the Greater Pittsburgh area and beyond. He also mentored many pastors in the area and was part of many church stewardships. Prior to entering ministry, Rev. Roemer worked for Wean United in its steel industry in various roles. Family and friends are welcome to a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, in Bethany Presbyterian Church, 740 Washington Avenue, Bridgeville, PA 15017. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Salvation Army or Wounded Warriors.
