William Joseph Schultz Jr.

William Joseph Schultz, Jr., 73, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Friday, January 12, 2024, with his children by his side. God broke the mold when he was born January 4, 1951, a son of William Joseph and Mary Matzko Schultz. He grew up in Hill Station, where his fondness for the Civil War, classic cars, church, dartball, Pirates baseball, Western movies and Pacman started. He dedicated 32 years of his life as a nurse's aid at Mayview State Hospital. After his retirement he spent his days doing what he enjoyed most, walking his Chihuahua, Chewy, riding motorcycles, playing Euchre and poker machines at the club, fantasy football and going to the casino. He was little, but larger than life character, who lived by his own rules and always came back fighting when he was knocked down. If you met him once, you always remembered him one way or another. He is survived by his selfless and devoted son, William Joseph Schultz III and wife Lisa Schultz, and his grandson Kyle Schultz; and by his loving daughter, Rebekah Elaine Dille and granddaughters, Donovan and Dayton Dille, with whom he left a lifetime of unbelievable stories that are almost stranger than fiction.
