Zachary Strohmeyer Obituary

Zachary C. Strohmeyer, 37, of Avella, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born November 8, 1987, in Columbus, Ga., a son of Thomas G. and Melissa S. Strohmeyer of Avella. Zach was a 2006 graduate of Avella High School and had worked as a CNC Machine operator and more recently as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding quads and his morotocycle. He was known as a "funny guy" and had a new sarcastic quip to spit out. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his children, Kamry, Heather and Aiden Strohmeyer, all of Avella; his sister, Sara Strohmeyer of Weirton, W.Va.; his nieces and nephew, Emily, Lukas and Melissa; his longtime girlfriend, Chelsee Snape; along with many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his uncle, Burleigh; and several aunts and uncles. A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 5 p.m., the time of the service, Friday, July 25, in the Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella, PA 15312.
