William Montie Obituary

William John Montie, 92, of Newton, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at his residence.

He was born January 24, 1932 in Cuyahoga County, OH to the late Wilbert and Jean Montie. Bill was a United States Army veteran and retired as an attorney-at-law. He was a member of Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church in Maiden. Bill found true joy in serving with and supporting Christian organizations and missionaries around the world, such as Word of Life, Gideons International, Faith Comes By Hearing, Moody Bible Institute and the Institute for Creation Research.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Lyn Paladino

Those left to cherish his memory are;

Wife of 68 years: Marilyn Ruth Matousek Montie of Newton

Sons: Mark Montie and wife Linda of Dallas, TX

Jeff Montie and wife Becky of Denver, NC

Brother: Tom Montie and wife Geraldine Lewis of Knoxville, TN

Sisters: Marsha Paladino of Medina, OH

Linda Norton and husband Gerry of Canton, OH

Lorna Gerhart and husband Glenn of Westerville, OH

Grandchildren: Steven Montie, Scott Montie, Blake Montie, Travis Montie, Grace Karjooy, Kristie Solano and Anna Montie

Twelve Great-Grandchildren

Seven Nieces and Nephews.
