Arthur Martin Lawson Jr.
Ocala - Ocala's finest gunsmith, Arthur (Art) M. Lawson Jr. passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of 88. Art was born in Detroit, Michigan to Arthur M. Lawson Sr. and Dorthey Denman Lawson on July 24, 1932. He attended Clarkston High School and graduated in 1949. Art was a member of the United States Navy and received the National Defense Service Medal in June 1956. Art has joined his loving wife Estelle (Mike) Mary Lawson in heaven. He was survived by his son Arthur M. Lawson (Marty), daughter-in-law Nallas Lawson, and a sister. The Memorial Service will be held at Community Presbyterian Church Highway 441 McIntosh, Florida on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at 1 pm.

Art was truly Ocala's finest gunsmith and more. I met Art in 1972 when I first moved to Ocala and we became fast friends. Art will be missed both as a friend and as a gun expert. My best wishes both to Marty and Nallas
