CECIL BRYANT Obituary

BRYANT, CECIL RAY
Cecil Ray Bryant, 90, of Ocklawaha, Florida, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on November 30, 2018, surrounded by his wife of 68 years, and his children.
He was born on January 19, 1928 in Ocala, Florida. He lived most of his life in Marion County, Florida; except for the time that he served in the U. S. Navy, aboard the USS Little Rock.
He worked at Swift Meat Packing Plant in Ocala, FL for many years. He was also a farmer, growing oranges and watermelons. He worked in Real Estate and had a plant nursery for some time.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland R. and Elizabeth (Bessie) Cordrey Bryant; his brothers, Kenneth and Alvis L. Bryant.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Joan Mayfield Bryant; three daughters, Brenda (Mark) Scott, of Fleming Island, FL, Louise (Jimmy) Walton, of Ocala, FL, Denise (Bob) Vostrejs, of Driggs, Idaho; six grandchildren; nine (soon to be 10) great grandchildren; his sister, Ardis Mann, of Brooksville, FL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Cecil was a faithful member and Deacon of Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church, where he had attended and served most of his life. He loved his Savior, his wife and family and his church family. He demonstrated that love every day, and there was never any doubt about it. He was also a longtime member of the Morning Star Lodge #94.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but he is truly ALIVE and walking with his Savior and Lord today and for eternity.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Cecil at 3:00 p.m. on January 5, 2019 at Ocklawaha Bridge Baptist Church.

Will miss my cousin and hearing him reminisce about the old days with Aunt Ruby hunting in the Big Scrub. Talking about them always brought a smile to his face.

Thank you for being a good friend and for all your wisdom in Sunday school over the past years. I am a better person for having known you and your wife and I thank the good Lord for putting you in my life. You will be missed by not only myself but by so many others that feel the same way. Your friend in Christ, Bobby Warhol

Mr. Cecil was a godly man that shared his love for Jesus everywhere he went. He was a sweet loving kind man. I'm proud I was able to be part of his church family. He will be greatly missed but we will see him soon in heaven ❤❤
