VAN LEAR, CHARLES H., 76



Ocala - Mr. Charles H. Van Lear, 76, passed away November 27, 2008 at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Westmont, Illinois, he came to this area 17 years ago from North Bend, Oregon. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War and a Purple Heart recipient. Mr. Van Lear retired from the Bureau of Land Management where he managed a warehouse. He was a Catholic by faith and was life member of the Silver Springs Lions Club, DAV Chapter #85, Belleview and the VFW, Rolling Green, Ocala. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy R. Van Lear, daughters, Charlene Baker, Julie Van Lear Marianne Van Lear and Dorothy A. Green and husband Robert, sons, Charles Van Lear II and John Van Lear and Wife Jessica, his mother, Winifred Roberts, sister, Joyce Fiske, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Mr. Van Lear will be interred with full Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL o n Monday, December 8, 2008 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial contributions be made to the Silver Springs Lions Club.
