DAVID JOHN 'BUBBA,' 57
Summerfield - David John 'Bubba' Carter, Jr., age 57, of Summerfield, FL passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015. He was born in Gainesville, GA on September 7, 1958. He was raised in Florida. David was a 1977 graduate of Forest High School where he was on the Forest Championship Football team when they were back to back state champions. He attended Troy State University in Alabama. He returned and went into the family business where he became the Chief Executive Officer and President of Dave Carter & Associates, Inc. in Ocala, FL. David enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Julia Carter of Summerfield, FL; daughter, Ashley (Shaun) Cunningham of Ocala, FL; son, David John 'Buc' Carter, III of Tampa, FL; daughter, Stephanie Carter of Summerfield, FL; brother, Austin Carter of New Jersey; sisters, Kimber (Barth) Hoopengarner of Ocala, FL, Michelle 'Buffy' Carter of Ocala, FL and Alexandria 'Alex' Carter of Ocala, FL; parents, Ronnie and David Carter of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Hailey and Landon Cunningham, both of Ocala, FL.
A celebration of David's life will be held at Grace Episcopal Church, 503 SE Broadway St, Ocala, FL 34471 on Friday, October 30, 2015, 1pm. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from Noon until the time of service at 1pm. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Fish & Wildlife Foundation of Florida P.O. Box 11010, Tallahassee, FL 32302 in memory of David John 'Bubba' Carter, Jr. (800-988-4889).

So very sad to hear the news about Bubba. We all had so many fun times over the years whether it was down at the lake, ski trips out West, or Bubba scaring Buffy and I late night at the Carter house. He will be missed and we pray for comfort for the whole family.

There are many great memories of 'babysitting' Bubba, Kim, and Buffy when they we little. We had many fun swims with tadpoles down my swim bottoms, driving around town in Ronnie's car, and enduring Bubba's pranks and fun. My deepest condolences to everyone in the carter family.
