Maureen,

My thoughts to you and your family. From what you told me and the tributes here, I know that your Dad was an amazing man who touched many lives. He did so many great things associated with Children's and he loved his family deeply. I know he will be missed. You and He are so blessed to have had such a wonderful long relationship. My thoughts are with you.

Dr.Delaney took care of our daughter in 1979 for anorexia. He was so caring, knowledgable and supportive with this "new"illness. She and Dr. D. kept in touch for years. She loved him. Sadly, she died of lung cancer 2 years ago. I know they are happy to see each other again. My deepest sympathy to the family. M and J Coogan

"I shall pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do or any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."

Everything that Dr. Delaney was to so many of us and especially to my family.

I will always remember Dr. Delaney as wonderfully charming and kind man whose intellectual energy made him more youthful than people half his age. My condolences to his family on their loss, which is surely heaven's gain.

Rest in peace, Uncle Don. You earned your wings a long, long time ago with all the wonderful things you have done and the hundreds and hundreds of lives you touched. You will be missed. Sending love and prayers for Aunt Mike, Mary Kay, Fritz, and family, Maureen, Donnie and Ruth, and Martha and Dave. May all your wonderful memories bring you peace and comfort.

Dear Muriel and Family: We were so saddened to hear of the death of your beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Don was an icon in the pediatric community and he along with Bob Parrott turned Children's Hospital into a national entity. He gave so much to thousands of trainees and to the children and parents of Washington. As for me, he allowed my career in education to develop and to assume the duties of the Office of Education at the hospital. We will miss him. May his memories be a blessing to all those who mourn him. Fondly, Joyce and Larrie Greenberg

Don Delaney epitomized all the good of the medical profession. He was passionate and dedicated and the world should take note of this loss. I am his cousin and feel privileged that our family has been connected with Murial and their wonderful children. We all loved him.
