DONNA ZENKER Obituary
Ocala - Donna Kay Zenker, 65, passed away Wednesday morning, April 19, 2017 at Silvia's House in Ocala, FL under the care of Hospice of Marion County. She was born May 18, 1951 in Scranton, PA and moved to Ocala seven years ago from Amelia Island, FL.
Ms. Zenker had a long career in the nursing field as a Registered Nurse. She loved her family and her animals, horses, dogs, cats, and she loved gardening.
She was predeceased by her father, Daniel Zenker; stepfather, Wally Holmberg; and step-sister, Kim Mungo.
Survivors include her mother, Katherine Holmberg; sisters, JoAnn Sample (George) and Cynthia Zenker; loving companion, Jeff Hover; stepbrother, Kevin Holmberg (Susan); step brother-in-law, Bill Mungo; nephews, Daniel Sample, Christopher Sample, Billy Mungo; nieces, Faye Tekach and Tamsen Mungo and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on May 20, 2017 at noon, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2600 Atlantic Ave., Fernandina Beach, FL 32034, with Rev. Ida Iverson officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Marion County SPCA or Hope Therapy in St. John County.
