My Papa, You have been in my life for 32 years and I cherish every second. When I think of you I always will hear your sweet laugh and how you made me feel loved even though you couldn’t say it out loud. I am so lucky that I have so many memories to look back on and share with my children one day. Whenever I would see you, I would kiss you on your forehead and say “hey handsome” and you would laugh, I think I will miss that small act the most. They say that behind every great man, is a great woman and you were a lucky man to have TWO women as your advocates. My Granny and My Mother. They were your voice because you didn’t have one anymore. Since the stroke you depended on the both of them, and they never wavered in their dedication to your well being. Your body might not have worked 100% but your mind and spirit never quit being strong, loving funny and inspirational. I am just so used to you being there, it will be extremely hard for me to get used to you being gone, it still hasn’t quite hit me. You were such a quiet but enormous presence in my life. You were a hero in WWII and you were my hero in regular life, and I will always be so grateful that I had you as my papa. I love you.

Mrs. Fredrickson, I'll always remember the day we met in my office. You and your husband were the most special people and I'll never forget you both! I'm so sorry for your loss!
