Uncle Mike. It has been almost 8 years. Wish you were here with us now. I know you are watching down on us and seeing everything that we are going through with Dad. Many of you family listed in this have joined you since. We are sad but I know you are all in heaven looking down and watching over us all here still on earth. I know I didn´t tell you enough but I love you!

I am thinking of you today, Dad, as i have every day since i last saw you. Remembering your efforts to make up for lost time, your sincerity in wanting us to be together. Always looking & finding you from the Sanford airport escalator. My best vacations have been with you: the big family reunion near Asheville, NC & best EVER the ocean side resort in the RV you worked SO hard on. Then my final bitter-sweet memory of whispering, "I love you" in your ear, and hearing you say it back, although muffled & with great effort. Those last words were absorbed directly into my heart in that moment. Forever.
