GEORGE MICHAEL, 69
Salt Springs - George Michael Conway, age 69, passed away peacefully at home, July 20, 2013.
Born on January 30, 1944 in Madison, WI, he moved to Florida 30 years ago, and retired from MRMC as a Heating and Refrigeration Maintenance Tech. Michael enjoyed fishing, camping, tennis, and spoiling his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Conway; mother, Lucille Morris; and step-father, Thomas Morris. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Wanda Conway; son, Mike Conway of WI; daughters Shelly Conway of WI, Cathy Huvila of WI, Jane Conway of WI, Mary Keichinger of WI; Melinda Hernandes of SC, Sherree Hutson of SC; Peggy Griner, Deane Smith, and Alicia Cox; brothers, Jim (Bev) Conway, Tom (Vicki) Morris of WI, Jeffrey (Jill) Morris of WI; sisters, Sherry (Pat) Conway of WI, Christi (Jim) Remsik, Patty Haak of WI, Mary (Dennis) Olson of WI, and Kelly (Roy) Goldbeck of WI; 20 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Salt Springs VFW Post, with Pastor Eric Gervais officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County, P.O. Box 4860, Ocala, FL 34478.
He will be truly missed by all.

Uncle Mike. It has been almost 8 years. Wish you were here with us now. I know you are watching down on us and seeing everything that we are going through with Dad. Many of you family listed in this have joined you since. We are sad but I know you are all in heaven looking down and watching over us all here still on earth. I know I didn´t tell you enough but I love you!

I am thinking of you today, Dad, as i have every day since i last saw you. Remembering your efforts to make up for lost time, your sincerity in wanting us to be together. Always looking & finding you from the Sanford airport escalator. My best vacations have been with you: the big family reunion near Asheville, NC & best EVER the ocean side resort in the RV you worked SO hard on. Then my final bitter-sweet memory of whispering, "I love you" in your ear, and hearing you say it back, although muffled & with great effort. Those last words were absorbed directly into my heart in that moment. Forever.
