James Volz Obituary
Ocala - James Floyd Volz, age 79, of Ocala Florida passed away at his home on December 29th, 2020 with his daughter Cindy Alexander by his side. He was born September 18,1941 the son of Helen and Floyd Volz. James was a native of St. Louis Missouri and moved to this area in 2000. James was a very complex and loving person. He was a very creative person who expressed himself thru nature, cultivating his gardens, he had an amazing "Green Thumb", enjoyed the joys of cooking, his love for his Horses and cats was enduring. Family and friends always knew his compassion and love. James Lived life "His Way" James is survived by his children Cindy Volz Alexander and Scott Volz. 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by David W. Papendick and granddaughter Victoria Calain Alexander. A graveside service for James will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday January 8th at Memorial Park Cemetery (5200 Lucas and Hunt Rd. St. Louis, Mo 63121). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Blood and Cancer Center of Ocala Florida 3256 S. Pine Ave. Ocala Florida 34471. Dr. Daniel Patterson. With love and thanksgiving for the wonderful memories of all the times and things we shared. There were dinners, horseshows, Christmases, Sunday Scrabble games, and much more. I will miss your laugh. Thank you for your daughter Cindy Alexander. She is part of the best of you and I love her.

i tried to contact jim a couple of times over the last 6-8 months--i was up in connecticut for a lot of it--but we'd get together once or twice a year.he was not a great correspondent, but loved the pizza place near me, so we'd meet there and catch up. i thought i'd call him when i was out of quarantine, since i just got back to florida . i just got a notice of his death from one of our bridge club members, and it hit me hard--he was such a lovely man--his flair for decorating the house--and christmas!--as a woman who once had 15 trees in my 11 room house, may i say he was a christmas master!! cindy, if you come back to pack up your dad's house, give me a call and i'll help out as much as i can. i'll pray for him and all your family. i'm so sorry!!
