Ocala - Janice LaWanda Guinyard, 58, passed away on November 8, 2016.
She leaves to cherish her memories father, Willie Guinyard Jr., (Ethel); siblings, Mbonya A. Myers, Ekatimba K. Guinyard (Pamela), LTC. Joel S. Guinyard Sr. (Vanessa), Abebi Z. Guinyard, Bamidele Guinyard-Morrow (Richard), and Shaka K. Guinyard; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:00a.m. at New St. John Missionary Baptist Church Rev. Tommie L. Brooks, Pastor. Visitation will be Friday, November 18, 2016 at Snow's Funeral Ministry from 4:00pm-6:00p.m. In Lieu of flowers, please donate to the Janice Guinyard Legacy Fund. Professional services entrusted to Snow's Funeral Ministry (Providing a memory that will never fade).

Today I honor your life in 2023, seven years after your passing. I remember you as being one of Mbonya's friends as you were like the big sister to all of us, including Traci Roianne and me Jamie. We have all ventured now in mto ministry straight just like you. Your life wasn't inspiration to us both professionally and spiritually. Even though we really got a chance to see you, your presence wound large because your mother always talked about your life and your achievements every Time We gather that your house, so we always felt like you were around us. Indeed you were..... Your mom was so proud of you and we all want to be like you. Now you're with the Lord and the angels. We speak your name here on Earth in remembrance.

I just found out last night about the passing of my extraordinary friend, most supreme confident, and fellow intercessory prayer warrior Janice in early November of last year. How my heart aches I just found out and my deepest condolences and prayers to her father, siblings, and friends. I knew Janice from N.H. Jones when she and my sister were in 5th grade. Mbonya and I are the same age and knew each other well. It's terrible to hear about a loss of someone so young. Dear Mbonya, Joel, and the entire Guinyard family, May God give you comfort, peace, and grace in the passing of your dear sister Janice. Even though I didn't know her as well as Mbonya and Joel, I felt like she was my friend too because of the close ties we enjoyed with between our families. Janice was larger than life and like a big sister to me through our friendship. She gave us a model by which to aspire and emulate in our own lives. I am saddened to hear of the Homegoing of my friend and mentor Janice. I will truly miss you Janice. I thank God that our paths crossed. I owe so much of who I am to you! I was your squad leader at Forest High. I remember you as a cheerleader. I understand that you became a great cheerleader for the Lord. You cheered your last game here on earth, now you have joined the angels to cheer for your Heavenly father in the place he has prepared for the Saints. My love and condolences to the Guinyard family and extended family. My heart sank when I got the word of her passing yet I recall her faith in God and the hope of eternal life and found myself laughing through my tears. Janice was TRUE as a Christian, as an evangelist, as a missionary, as a friend, as a confidant, encourager, advocate and sister. She is missed.

I so sorry for your lost, Mbonya, and Joel. Janice was like a sister to us and a daughter to my mother. Janice had a spirit of compassion for others. To Joel and Mbonya and family, I'm hurt and speechless so I can't imagine your emotions at this time. I missed Janice when she moved to Florida, I missed her when she left Census and I will always miss her. She encouraged me in so many ways in life. I am now thanking God for his holy spirit and Jesus for I know Janice knew him/them for herself. Janice is no longer on the battlefield. She received her honorable discharge and has gone home. It is with deep sadness I feel to hear about Janice's passing. She was truly one of a kind with a large personality and even larger heart. Janice loved the Lord and would shout it from the mountain top. Well, the Lord heard her and decided it was time to join her mom. I can still hear her infectious laugh. Janice's Census family will miss her and I along with others extend a heartfelt message of sympathy to her family. She will be missed.

There can be no greater words for me to express than " I thank and praise God for the years of friendship I have had with Janice. Janice and I worked together; but most importantly, she was my sister in Christ Jesus. We prayed one for another and lifted each other up in times of sorrow and trouble. This I one thing I know - Janice was faithful to God and truly loved the Lord. May God give the family strength. I will always love her as my true friend and sister in Jesus. Rest my beloved friend.
