Wow, it's been 7 years since I seen Dr Anderson and I was in need to see him now. I did not know he passed away until I did a search on Google to get his phone number. I am so sorry to everyone for this loss. He was my doctor for a short time after I moved here to FL in 2010 but I really liked him. :-( My new GASTRO doc wants my records and I have no idea HOW to get them.

We"re back to work and there is a space that can't be filled. The office sounds so quiet and feels empty. We know you are here and watching over us. You wouldn't have had it any other way! The tears have fallen already; and there will be more. Knowing you won't be here this afternoon to say hi or "Goodbye Girls" saddens me deeply! This is going to be a hard couple of weeks ahead of us; but we have each other and we will be ok. Just to let you know.......we're here for you also! We love you and miss you dearly! I believe that you are here with us; that you are watching us and will nudge us in the right direction with everything we decide to do.
Thanks for everyone for all your support!
Love to all,
Patti

It is with such grief at the loss of such a good friend and doctor. The Oncology Unit at Ocala Health had such a great relationship with Dr Anderson over the past 15 years.. From the great support to the nursing staff and support to our patients. We always were happy to see him and share words of wisdom or a joke to lighten the day. He will truly be missed.

I knew him as John Anderson - West Islip Grad, College Student, and RM 3 Lifeguard. It is no surprise to any of us that John was so successful in Florida also. He made many friends up North and was well admired by many of the lifeguards at Robert Moses State Park and Jones Beach.
He was all class. Regards to his Family. He will always be remembered.

Doc,
You have been such a dear friend for so many years now we can't begin to imagine a holiday with out you there to share a laugh and a good meal. Who's going to help me give Greg a hard time about his politics? Whether it was supplying the trailer for the annual Halloween hay ride, pointing out the golden eggs to the kids at the Easter egg hunt, or helping a close friend when she needed you the most you have always been there with a smile. You are an inspiration and role model for our sons and you will be missed on their special days. You are Family.
Carol, Ken & Rob,
I hope your grief is eased and comforted to know he was loved and admired for the special person he was. God Bless you all.
Rest in Peace, Doc, and take our Love with you.
We will set a place for you at Christmas.

like marrying into a family - you came as part-and-parcel of my new Ocala family and as I grew to know you better, we shared a mutual love of many things: The Florida Gators, good beer, democratic politics and medicine. I will miss your sharp wit and sharp mind, not to mention your obvious absence at all the major holiday events. It is you I have to thank for my enjoyment of running -- my aspiration to complete a marathon and for the 'dying cockroach' which I will forever keep in my work-out regimen - thanks to you! Enjoy your well-deserved rest, dear friend....much love, Natalie and Gabby xxx
September 14, 2011
Like in-laws one inherits when one marries, I inherited you as a part of my adopted Ocala family. We shared some loves: The Gators, good beer, political views and medicine. I will miss your wry smile and your great wit and intelligence - and your presence at all major holidays and those inbetween. It was you that inspired me to run and you who shared everything from sandwich ideas to exercises - and to this day, I do the 'dying cockroach' ab exercise you shared with me...and I will think of you everytime I do it! A wonderful man, too soon gone....I will miss you.......it was you who bound so many: Johnny, Greg, Pam...and I know they all loved you so much......didn't know you but a few years, but honored to have called you 'friend'....love Natalie and Gabby xxxx

HOW DO I SAY GOODBYE TO MY BEST FRIEND?
We made a great team together for nearly the past 15 years. You were the most wonderful, caring, loving, compassionate individual I have ever known. I was blessed to have been your Office Manager and best friend for all these years, but more importantly I was honored to be by your side every day these past few months.
You are finally free to run again Dr. Anderson! I also asked those angels to fly you over the Las Vegas strip on your way to heaven. I hope it was exactly the way you thought it would be.
I always knew that heart would hold out to the end buddy ... it was made of gold.
I will continue to take care of your girls for you. I know you would want that. By the way, we did it! We kept your practice exactly as you left it. I love you, my friend. Thank you for all the wonderful memories you gave me. I will miss you forever!!!
P.S. My phone has been ringing continuously and sometimes I hear your voice and simply do not answer it.

I worked closely with you in your office for more than eleven years and can truly say I was blessed to have known you. God needed another angel and took you home. I will miss you. My condolences to your family.
If we could bring you back again,
For one more hour or day,
We'd express all our unspoken gratitude;
We'd have countless things to say.
If we could bring you back again,
We'd say we treasured you,
And that your presence in our lives
Meant more than you ever knew.
If we could bring you back again,
To tell you what we should,
You'd know how much we miss you now,
And if we could, we would.

On September 11, 2011, the world lost another true "New Yorker." After a valiant fight, "Doc" crossed the finish line in his last marathon, finishing again with pride and dignity.
A kinder soul you will never meet, having been blessed to know him for the last several years, i watched his kindness and generosity first hand. Whether with his family, patients, colleagues or friends, Doc was loved and respected by all who knew him, and will be missed very much.
My prayers and condolences to Ken, Rob and Carol and the rest of his family.
Rest in Peace, my friend.
