RUSSO, JOHN, 81
Ocala - John Russo, 81, passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014. He was born on Long Island, NY on Aug. 20, 1932, the youngest of six. He proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. in the Korean War, stationed a time in Germany.
He was a skilled carpenter/builder and was the owner/operator of a construction and remodeling company while in NY. He was always very generous with his skills and used them helping family, friends, and his church, serving as property committee chairman and helping Habitat building homes.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 34 years, Linda; sisters Jo and Betty; daughter Brigit Durkin (Patrick); step-son Kyle Peterson (Ann) and grandchildren P.J., Jessica, Daniel, Kathryn and great-grandson, P.J. Durkin IV.
Memorial services will be held Monday, April 7, 2014 at noon at St Matthew's Lutheran Church, Ocala. In lieu of flowers, donations to the church or Hospice would be welcomed.
