JOSEPH HARRISON Obituary
Joseph M. Harrison, 84, of Fort McCoy, FL passed way December 11, 2017 under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. He was born on November 26, 1933 to Oliver Crayton and Lillie Harrison in Tryon, NC. He moved to the area in 1960 from El Paso, TX and was a Baptist.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; mother of his children Emma Jean Harrison; brothers Louie Harrison, Howard Harrison, and John Paul Harrison; sisters Frances Alderman, Dorothy Greenway and Mozell Harrison. He is survived by his children Deborah Jean Lambert, Joseph Oliver Harrison and Nettie Yvonne Perkins; sister Millie Woodward; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and longtime companion Cheryl Leroy.
Joseph was the owner of Joe's Stuff n Such and custom cut cypress. He logged the Oklawaha River, enjoyed traveling, fishing, and never met a stranger. Please join the family in a Celebration of Life service to be held at the First Baptist Church of Ft McCoy on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon in the Fellowship Hall. If possible, please bring a covered dish to share. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Brown Funeral Home & Crematory in Lecanto
